Antigua Weather in September
What’s the weather like in Antigua in September?
Antigua is located in the West Indies where the eastern Caribbean Sea meets the North Atlantic Ocean. It has tropical weather as it’s just to the north of the equator and you’ll get lots of hot weather if you’re going in September. Easterly winds will help keep you cool and Antigua has lower humidity than other tropical islands, so you should be quite comfortable. It also has a lot less rain than other islands in the Caribbean so it’s a great option all year round. There’s a hot season from June to October when temperatures are a bit higher than the cold season that’s from December to March. The cooler time of year’s also the driest, and September’s one of the wettest months.
The average high in Antigua is 31ºC in September so it’s perfect if you love the heat. Temperatures only drop to 25ºC at night so you won’t need to bring many warm clothes. The sea temperature’s 29ºC, so it’s lovely for swimming, while humidity’s very high. There’s 87mm of rain over 16 days, and you can expect 12 hours of daylight with seven hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be extremely high so bring plenty of sun cream. Sunset’s at 6.20pm at the start of September.
