Weather in Barbados
If you’re looking for sunshine, golden sandy beaches and turquoise water, you won’t find a better option than the tropical island of Barbados. There are two distinct seasons, wet season and dry season.
The wet season runs from July until December, but a little rain shouldn’t put you off. Most showers are very brief and have passed before you know it. Temperatures range from 24°C up to 29°C at this time, which is perfect for soaking up the sun on the beach.
If you’re not a fan of the rain, the best time to go to Barbados is during dry season from January to early June. Temperatures are very pleasant and there are around 10 to 14 hours of daily sunshine. Rain is expected to be very low, so you can leave your umbrella at home.
The best time to visit for warm waters is in wet season when the average water temperature is around 28°C. The sea cools slightly in January, falling to 26°C, which is still perfect for swimming and snorkelling in the coral reefs.
