Weather in Playa Blanca

Playa Blanca is a small holiday resort on the south of Lanzarote. It’s a fantastic year-round destination with constant sunshine and sheltered beaches, which means you’ll enjoy plenty of warm sunshine and less rainfall than other parts of the island. Temperatures are on the increase from May to September when they gradually begin to drop as autumn approaches. The best time to go to Playa Blanca is in July and August for the highest temperatures and guaranteed sunshine. You can expect highs of 28°C with nightly lows of 17°C. UV rays can be very high during the day because of Lanzarote’s location near North Africa. Make sure not to stay out in the sun for too long, especially between 12pm and 3pm when the sun is most powerful. If you prefer cooler temperatures and fewer crowds on holiday, the best time to visit Playa Blanca is in spring or autumn. Sea temperatures remain mild at around 19°C, which is great for swimming and the humidity is low.
