Paris has an oceanic climate, which means it has a lot of rainfall spread throughout the year. Regular showers mean that an umbrella is necessary no matter when you visit.
The best time to go to Paris for warmer weather is in the summer. The average temperature is around 25°C in July and Autumn. An occasional heat wave often takes place in the peak of summer that brings temperatures right up to the mid-30s.
For cooler temperatures, the best time to visit Paris is between November and June. Temperatures begin to lower in October to around 15°C before dropping to just 1°C in January. Although it’s a lot colder than the summer, winter is often one of the most romantic times to visit Paris because of the festive atmosphere in the city.
