Weather in Marrakech
If you love the heat and sunshine, you’ve chosen the right place. With its location in the nort-west of Morocco in Northern Africa, Marrakech has a very hot and dry climate that lasts all year-round.
The average temperature varies from summer to winter. There are lows of 6°C at night and dramatic highs of 43°C during the hottest time of the year. The best time to visit Marrakech is when temperatures have cooled from March to May with an average high of 25°C.
There isn’t much rainfall throughout the year, so you won’t have to worry about getting caught outside in a surprise downpour. Even though it’s cooler in the spring and autumn, you still need to wear sun cream and drink lots of water to stay hydrated.
There are at least nine hours of sunshine per day, and that increases to 14 hours in the summer. Cloud coverage is more common in winter and spring, but it’s nothing that’ll get in your way.
If you find that the summer weather is too hot for you, the best time to go to Marrakech is from autumn to spring for cooler temperatures with plenty of sunshine.
