      Lake Garda

As the largest lake in Italy, Lake Garda is home to a range of traditional towns, orchards, historical architecture and idyllic scenery. It’s a beautiful location for a holiday and its warm climate means it’s a perfect year-round destination. The best time to visit Lake Garda is the summer, when temperatures rarely fall below 25°C. The weather is ideal for shorts and t-shirts, along with a pair of sunglasses and plenty of sun cream. At peak times of the day, temperatures can reach up to 29°C. Winter can be quite chilly at night but temperatures usually reach the low to mid-teens during the day. The region is surrounded by mountains that give shelter from heavy rainfall and strong winds. However, some winds still blow into the region but tend to be calmer towards the south side of the lake. UV rays are high in the middle of summer, so don’t forget to apply high factor sun cream when you’re out in the early afternoon when the sun is at its strongest. For milder temperatures, the best time to go to Lake Garda is spring. The weather has improved since winter, but it’s far from being too hot or humid. It’s ideal for enjoying the warm, dry climate and you’ll experience the region at one of the quietest and most peaceful times of the year.
