    Florence weather November

What’s the weather like in Florence in November?

Autumn is a great time to visit Florence if you’re not used to summer heat. The city enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate that is quite cool and damp in November. The rain won’t get in the way of your holiday though and it’s nothing that a trusted umbrella can’t solve.

    Geographical influences

Florence is the historical capital of the Tuscany region in Northern Italy. The city is known for its historical architecture, rich culture, and subtropical climate. You can look forward to lots of sunshine but you should pack warm clothes for the cooler temperatures in the evening. The region lacks a prevailing wind, which means the city is generally warmer and more humid than the coast. This isn’t much of a problem in the summer when rainfall is low, but you’ll notice a rise in humidity in autumn which seems to coincide with the increased rainfall.

    Averages

The average temperature is 13°C with highs of 18°C between 12pm and 3pm, which is the warmest time of the day. At night, temperatures drop to just 9°C and gradually decrease to 5°C by the end of the month. There are nine hours of sunshine per day and the average monthly rainfall is around 133mm spread over 14 days of the month.
