    What's the weather like in the Caribbean in July?

    Located near the equator, the Caribbean region has a tropical climate with warm temperatures and lots of sunshine all year round. July marks the beginning of the low season in the Caribbean, with hot temperatures and rainy spells making this one of the least popular times of year to visit. If you go on holiday in the Caribbean at this time of year, expect a few tropical thunderstorms especially in the afternoons.

    In Barbados, the average temperature in July is a hot 27°C, with highs of 29°C in the peak of the afternoon. With lows of 24°C after dark, you’ll be grateful for air conditioning in your hotel at night. Around 150mm of rain’s expected during the month, but thunderstorms are usually short and sharp. The Caribbean waters are beautifully warm at 28°C, ideal for swimming or snorkelling. Further north in Cuba, temperatures go as high as 32°C in the daytime and down to 22°C in the evenings, with around 50mm of rain forecast for July.
