    Cuba weather October

What's the weather like in Cuba in October?

An archipelago in the north Caribbean Sea at the meeting point of the North Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, Cuba has stunning weather. If you're going there in October you'll get plenty of warmth and sunshine, although October’s the last month of the rainy season.

    Climatic influences

The Tropic of Cancer runs through the north of Cuba, which brings the tropical weather and year-round heat. There’s also a distinct dry season from November to April and wet season from May to October. The Caribbean Current brings warm waters from the equator, while north easterly winds will keep you cool. Cuba’s relatively flat, although there’s a mountain range in the south east. Despite this, you'll get more rain in the north because of the winds.

    Averages

The capital Havana has an average high of 30ºC in October, with temperatures keeping warm in the evenings. It only cools to 22ºC at night, so don't fill your suitcase with warm clothes. The sea’s also lovely and warm at 29ºC while humidity’s high. Average rainfall’s 164mm over 13 rainy days, although you can still expect 12 hours of daylight with nine hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be very high so be careful and use plenty of sun cream in the sun, which sets at around 7pm through most of the month.
