With a typical Caribbean climate and temperatures that rarely drop below the mid-20s, Cayo Coco is a year-round holiday destination. The resort has a wet season between May and November when the weather in Cayo Coco is hot, humid and wet. December to April is the dry season, with warm and dry weather that’s perfect if you want to avoid heavy rain showers.

The sea is still warm enough for swimming with an average water temperature of 26°C that rises to 28°C in the summer. January and February are the driest months of the year with no more than 6mm of rainfall per month.
The wet season is very hot and humid with regular thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. August has the most daily sunshine with the warmest sea temperatures at around 30°C. As you might expect, there’s a lot of rain at this time of year so an umbrella is a must-have travel accessory. Humidity levels tend to be high, which can make the weather in Cayo Coco harder to deal with. If you need to cool down, you should stay out of the sun or enjoy a refreshing swim in the sea to escape the intense summer heat.
