What’s the weather like in Vietnam in June?
Just east of the Indochinese Peninsula, Vietnam’s climate varies across its diverse regions, from coastal resorts to mountain villages. Two monsoon seasons affect the country, with the northeast monsoon from November to April and the wetter southwest monsoon from May to October. If you’re visiting Vietnam in June, some areas will be quite rainy while others will be dry and sunny, so stick to the central and northern lowlands and coastal areas for the best weather.
In the north of Vietnam, temperatures average a hot 30°C in June although the mountain regions are very wet. In the central regions, beach towns including Hoi An, Nha Trang and Danang are all hot and sunny, with average temperatures of 30°C and lots of sunshine. If you do visit the south, any rain is usually in the afternoons with sharp showers making way for brighter weather and average temperatures of 28°C.
