What's the weather like in Malaysia in June?

Located in the southeast of Asia, Malaysia has a varied terrain spanning islands, lowlands and mountains, each experiencing their own weather systems during the year. In June, the southwest monsoon is still in full force, bringing wet weather to some parts of the country. The east coast is generally dry and sunny at this time of year while the west coast is hot with heavy, short-lived rain showers.

Kuala Lumpur is slightly cooler with an average temperature of 28°C, and 160mm of rain. The east coast is much drier in June, with Redang having average highs of 32°C and lows of 25°C after dark.
