Weather in Cambodia

Cambodia has a wet season and a dry season, which may affect when you choose to travel to the region. Cambodia has quite a lot of monsoons in the wet season before the weather dries up going into November, which marks the start of the dry season. The rainy season starts in May and lasts until October. It’s the best time to visit Cambodia if you don’t mind the rain and prefer slightly cooler temperatures. The average temperature is around 22°C with high humidity levels. The best time to go to Cambodia for hot and dry weather is between November and April. January and February are the driest months of the year, which is great if you want to enjoy the heat without the heavy downpours. Temperatures rise to 40°C during the dry season, which is very hot and you’ll need to find shade from the sun between 12pm to 3pm. Moisture winds blow inland from the Gulf of Thailand and the Indian Ocean, which is the main contributor to the southwest monsoons experienced in Cambodia.
